House Cleaning in Newton and Brookline, MA: Villages and Condos
Newton is thirteen villages and Brookline is a town that feels like a city, and the homes reflect it: Victorians in Newton Centre and Waban, two-families in Newtonville and West Newton, brick condos in Coolidge Corner and new buildings near Chestnut Hill. A cleaning plan has to fit the building as much as the household. Here is how we work in 02458 through 02468 and 02445 and 02446.

Three Kinds of Homes, Three Checklists
Before quoting a residential cleaning in Newton we ask what kind of home it is, because that decides the crew size and the time more than square footage does.
Victorians and colonials
- Waban, Newton Centre, Chestnut Hill and Brookline’s Cottage Farm
- Tall ceilings, picture rails, built-ins and original hardwoods
- Detail dusting is most of the visit
- Usually three cleaners for a full house
Two-families and townhouses
- Newtonville, West Newton, Nonantum and Brookline Village
- Stairs, shared entries, radiators and older bathrooms
- Owners often book both units on the same day
- Two cleaners, weekly or biweekly
Condos and apartments
- Coolidge Corner, Beacon Street, Chestnut Hill and Newton Corner
- Building check-in, elevator rules, limited parking
- Compact kitchens with a lot of glass and stainless steel
- Two cleaners, 1.5 to 3 hours
Our team on a residential visit. Every home gets a written checklist.
What a Newton Victorian Needs That a New Build Does Not
Most of our Newton and Brookline clients own homes built before 1930. A few details change the checklist.
Trim, built-ins and radiators
Picture rails, wainscoting, glass-front cabinets and radiator covers collect dust that a quick wipe never reaches. We dust with damp microfiber so the dust is lifted, not spread, and radiators get wiped before the heat comes on in October.
Original hardwood
Heart pine and oak with old finishes are vacuumed with a hard-floor head and mopped with a barely damp pad. Never a wet mop, never steam, never vinegar. If your floor refinisher recommended a product, leave it out and we use it.
Older bathrooms
Hex tile, pedestal sinks and original tubs get non-abrasive products so the glaze stays intact. Grout lines are scrubbed by hand.
Leaves, pollen and city grit
Tree-lined streets in Waban and Newton Centre mean leaves in the entry in fall and pollen on every sill in spring. Brookline homes near Beacon Street collect street dust year round. Entryways and sills are on every visit.
Cleaning a Condo in Coolidge Corner or Chestnut Hill
A condo visit is shorter, but the building logistics matter and we handle them before the first visit.
Before the first visit
We confirm the building’s vendor rules: front desk check-in, service elevator hours, where the team can park and how trash goes out. Those details go in your file and are followed every time, so you do not have to explain them twice.
During the visit
Open kitchens get the full degreasing routine because the stove is visible from the sofa. Glass walls and balcony doors are squeegeed. Bathrooms, bedrooms and floors follow the same checklist as a house. Most Brookline condo clients are at work during the visit and we text when the team is done.

Common Questions
Can you clean my condo if I am at work?
Yes. We coordinate with the building, use the entry method you set up and text you when the team is done.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance for the building?
Yes. We are fully insured and we send the certificate to the management company when a building asks for it.
How do you handle original hardwood floors?
Vacuum with a soft floor head, then a barely damp microfiber pad. No wet mops, no steam, no vinegar. Tell us if the finish is worn and we dry mop.
How is the price set for a large Victorian?
By bedrooms, bathrooms, the condition of the home and the extras you want. Text (774) 285-2115 with a few photos and you get a written price before the first visit.
Do you serve both Newton and Brookline on the same routes?
Yes. Our teams work Newton and Brookline daily, Monday to Saturday, 8AM to 6PM, and the Framingham office is a short drive down the Pike.
